Jungheinrich AG strengthens collaboration with CAS Merlin

Speed up quotations, design consistent processes, simplify collaboration: Jungheinrich AG is transforming its sales processes by expanding its CPQ system landscape throughout the group and across all products and systems. In the future, all stakeholders along the customer journey will use a uniform sales platform with Merlin CPQ as the core element for the following process steps: configuration, sales pricing and quote generation.

In the future, the globally active logistics company will use CPQ not only for the configuration of vehicles, but also for the area of complete solutions. These include services and system solutions with integrated processes for all third-party systems. As in the past, the Hamburg-based corporation will continue to rely on the solution supplied by CAS Software, which will be enhanced in the future with additional functionalities such as intelligent assistants.

The aim of the expansion is to make the entire sales process transparent and efficient and to further simplify collaboration across business units - for example, with stored approval workflows and the parallel processing of shopping cart items by several employees from different departments. The system structure is so scalable and flexible that future portfolio adjustments can also be implemented efficiently.

Jungheinrich's product portfolio currently comprises 11 business areas with a wide range of products and services, which are sold worldwide in approximately 42 countries by its own direct sales units and in over 80 countries by partner companies. With Merlin CPQ, Jungheinrich complements its existing SAP landscape of SAP C4C (CRM) and SAP S4/HANA (ERP) and relies on the expertise of specialists in the field of CPQ. The plan is for all sales employees worldwide to use Merlin CPQ in the future.

The expansion supports the configuration, calculation and quotation generation of all Jungheinrich products and services in one system landscape. In the future, the solution will enable the automatic generation of professional and individualized offers across all business areas and the use of a digital quote in which direct interaction with the customer is possible. In addition, the pricing will work across all shopping cart items using centrally stored costing parameters. A variety of financing models will be supported.
